Hadley Ayers

Hadley Ayers is a local performer and creative originally from Raleigh, NC. A student at UNC Wilmington, she is double majoring in Theatre Performance and Communication Studies. Hadley has taken courses in Direction, Intimacy Direction, Acting, Music and Dance. In Raleigh, she trained at the nationally awarded youth theatre, Theatre Raleigh Act. Last year, she worked with Theatre Raleigh as a casting intern and served as assistant director and choreographer of their summer camp programs. Hadley has performed at the DPAC in Durham, Raleigh Memorial Theatre, and Thalian Hall in numerous productions, including Opera House’s Rock of Ages. Hadley got her start in theatre at a summer camp when she was 8 years old, and understands the impact of how the arts can change someone’s life for the better. She is so thrilled to be working with the academy and Wilmington’s amazing young performers!

Carson Hobbs

Carson has been working as a performer, director/choreographer, and theatre educator for the past 25 years and is very passionate about arts education.  Born and raised in Wilmington, she has a B.A. from New School University in NYC, after 3 years at UGA and NYU (Tisch).  Fav credits include Broadway's WICKED (Witch’s Mother/ensemble), plus the LA/Chicago/Nat’l tour companies, A Chorus Line (Cassie, Val, Kristine), A Full Monty (Vicki), Footloose (tour). Directing & Choreo credits: Cabaret (Wilmington Theatre Award),  AnnieThe Prom,  Newsies (Wilmington Theatre Award), Kinky BootsSpring Awakening, FootlooseThe Full Monty, & Fiddler on the Roof. B’way Cares Equity Fight Aids benefits (Gershwin, Neil Simon, and Minskoff, Broadway). TV/Comm credits: ESPN, One Life to Live, MasterCard, Toy’s R ‘Us, The Today Show.  Teaching highlights: Broadway Dance Center (NYC), Dallas Ballet, and is currently the theatre dance teacher on faculty at UNCW.  She founded the first dance & theatre program at Hope Hill Elementary in Atlanta and is a past teaching artist - turned current board member at DREAMS of Wilmington.  Carson oversees OHTA's classes, workshops, camps, and development. www.carsonhobbs.com @carsonhobbspro
